It is general information, published in good faith, and tested before publication as described in [how we test](https://screenshot-laptop.com/how-we-test/). ## What it is not It is not a support service, and it is not a substitute for your manufacturer's documentation or support channel. We cannot diagnose a specific machine, and we have no relationship with any hardware or software vendor mentioned. ## Accuracy, and its limits We test instructions on real hardware before publishing. Even so: - Laptop keyboards, firmware menus and vendor utilities differ between models and between production runs of the same model. - Operating system updates change default behaviour, sometimes without notice. - Vendor software is updated constantly, and features move or disappear. So we cannot warrant that every instruction matches your particular machine at the moment you read it. Where something could not be verified across all models, the page says so rather than stating it flatly. A mistake in firmware can prevent a computer from starting. - **Registry edits** — the fix for a stuck screenshot counter involves Registry Editor. Editing the wrong value can damage a Windows installation. - **Installing third-party software** — any download carries risk. Where a page describes one of these, it says so at that point.
